I'm accepted!

As a member of Timothy Project, “Deanna” (I don’t use real names) had written out a testimony that told me she was not a Christian yet. She acknowledged God’s work in her life but just didn’t seem to be ready to accept Jesus yet.

When I asked her some questions, she told me she was just waiting to see if she “would be accepted.” I told her that one of the things that Jesus was saying when He died on the cross for our sins was that we are accepted. Now. All we have to do is accept the gift He’s giving.

Do you ever wonder if you’re accepted? Sometimes I sure don’t feel accepted. Isn’t it great to know that because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we have the opportunity to be accepted by a righteous, holy God? All we have to do is accept the Gift. Have you accepted that Gift? I’d love to talk to you about your relationship with God – especially if you have questions or concerns.

By the way, Deanna did accept that Gift. Last week, on Tuesday night at the Mission Youth Center, Deanna was saved from eternal separation from God and started the greatest adventure ever – a relationship with God!
